Excellent and straightforward post. I really like the clean install, especially the 3d printed parts. I downloaded your models but it appears the inline connector (for keeping the straight j-channels aligned) is missing. Do you have that file?

I live in the Gulf Coast area, so my soffit is very similar to yours. Did you use fasteners to secure the J-channel or is it just slip fit into place? While I think slip fit would work for me, hurricane winds are concerning.

Nope. The J track is sandwiched between the L channel that supports the soffits and the soffit itself.
