Hi all, newbie here what is the setting in wled for “length” for the following strip
Input Voltage: DC12V, DC24V.

BTF
IC Type: FCOB RGB WS2811 IC.
Wattage: 12V-12W/m
FPCB Width: 630-10mm.
LED Quantity: 630 LEDs/M.
Cutting Length: 630-every 71mm.
Addressable: every (630-71mm) can be unique controlled.

what is the math to workout the “length” setting? thanks all

From that description, I don’t think you have the correct info to calculate the WLED count.

I would hook it up and configure WLED for 20 LEDs and yYou’ll see how much of your strip lights up. You can then easily try lighting 1 LED at a time and see the actual numbers to use.

Alternatively, you could ask the mfg. for more info.

That’s what I did. I just wanted to know how to do the math. The other info was 71mm per addressable group.

Not surprising, these quotes are often less than helpful.

From the numbers you’ve given, I’d guess they’re saying something like 14 LED’s/m.
So WLED would see, 1m as 14 addressable LEDs.

That gives you slightly higher density than “standard Xmas lights” (usually 10/m), but in wider bands (FCOB LEDs) that merge nicely when set for one continuous colour.

That’s my best guess given what you’ve shown.
