# Segment-layering without flickering

Hello WLED-community,  
is there any way to layer multiple effects on a strip ?  
The issue with segments is , that as soon as they overlap it starts flickering.  
It would be a huge improvement for the whole WLED-System if there would be  
options to include layers above a running pattern like dark holes to fade them out to the end of a LED-stripe, or to layer for example comet-patterns above a fire . This way the control over the look and the quality of the look would increase immense. thx 4 reading & kind regards!

do i get it right, that with interleaving i split the patterns in colors and as long as the collors are split there is no flickering ?

Correct. There is no overlap with this technique.
