Hello,

i start my first steps in wled.

I want to play a playlist on start of the sunset and have the stripe turned off after 2 hours.

I wondering about that i see only a field for minutes and here i can enter only max 59 mintues.

 ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/free1/uploads/wled/original/2X/8/8088d1be173ad801fd0e57f370788e5cdf0fa5de.png)

So how i can turned the strips on for 2 hours after sunset.

Also i want to turend the stripe off after the 2 hours.

My playlist is this, it want be off anymore.

[as new user i cannot post more than 1 embeded screenshot ☹ - so i have to write…]

My playlist
 Show playlist editor
Playlist entries
”my present” - Duration: 10s, Transition 0,7s - Repaet 1 times - End preset: “none”
all other thinks are not selected.

so thats the part into the Api-Command of the present (used in the playlist):
{“on”:true,“bri”:255,“transition”:7,“mainseg”:0,“seg”:[{“id”:0,“start”:0,“stop”:200,“grp”:1,“spc”:0,“of”:0,“on”:true,“frz”:false,“bri”:255,“cct”:127,“set”:0,“n”:“”,“col”:[[75,75,75,42],[255,255,255,105],[0,0,0,0]],“fx”:0,“sx”:128,“ix”:128,“pal”:0,“c1”:128,“c2”:128,“c3”:16,“sel”:true,“rev”:false,“mi”:false,“o1”:false,“o2”:false,“o3”:false,“si”:0,“m12”:0},{“id”:1,“start”:100,“stop”:200,“grp”:1,“spc”:0,“of”:0,“on”:true,“frz”:false,“bri”:255,“cct”:127,“set”:0,“n”:“”,“col”:[[75,75,75,42],[255,255,255,105],[0,0,0,0]],“fx”:0,“sx”:128,“ix”:128,“pal”:0,“c1”:128,“c2”:128,“c3”:16,“sel”:true,“rev”:false,“mi”:false,“o1”:false,“o2”:false,“o3”:false,“si”:0,“m12”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0},{“stop”:0}]}

So how i can turned the stripe of finaly?

Thanks a lot for helping and going first steps in wled 🙂

the scheduler is just a trigger, not state machine. to turn them off after 2 hours you use the “Timer” function (moon symbol in UI, configurable in settings). I am sure you can activate that through a preset (check JSON API) and add that preset as the first one in a playlist. Presets can be just any supported JSON command.

oh i understand. What function will have the entry in the minutes field?

How i can create a preset to “start on sunrise” or “switch off after 2 hours”?

If i click on the moon, i get only this message

Timer, AKA “nightlight” has a configuration (duration, type, etc) in LED settings.
It is also documented in [KB](https://kno.wled.ge).

If you are also running Home Assistant you could use an automation from within HA to turn on/off lights and presets.

Thanks a lot

for me it will help to understand, how i can turned the stripes out.

I cannot find a preset or something else. What i have to do to turn the stripes at the end of a playlist out?

Also how can i create a timer, as is wrote i cannot see a settingpage for the timer (moon) function - how it works?

@blazoncek what is “AKA” and how i can find the “nightlight” preset?
