Hi there, my name is Joop, I’m 48 years young and living in the Netherlands.
In 2019 I discovered DrZzs YouTube channel about christmas/holiday lights and I wanted that to.
So I bought a string addressable Leds, a nodemcu and started experimenting.
That went pretty well, thanks to DrZzs.
This year I bought more Leds and builded a 10 feet tall 180 degrees christmas tree that I put in my garden in front of the house.
And it works!!! I get a lot of positive comments from neighbors are people just walking by.
I’m pretty sure that I’m the first guy in the Netherlands with a digital tree.
I’m a construction engineer and have a little knowledge of electronics but I like to know about it and this is a perfect way for me to do so.
