but his link to supporting .bin files is broken. Those files must get loaded by pio but from where?

0x1000 bootloader_dout_40m.bin 
0x8000 partitions.bin 
0xe000 boot_app0.bin 
0x10000 ESP32S2.bin

Thinking out out…wled could go the route of tasmota and release “factory” bins which I assume have all the bins bundled at the correct addresses so one can just flash a single file to 0x000.

Each CPU needs its bootloader and firmware.

You are welcome to make a contribution and @lost-hope (AKA Sören) will be happy to include it.
But be aware that you will need to make it each time a release is made or prepare automated procedure.

  1. Your device does not go into firmware upload mode. Period. You will need to figure out why.
  2. Some pinned some not. I expect you to be vigilant and do a thorough search.

Yes i have recently flashed LolinS2 from the site but It only worked with the old method ,
here WLED installation , try it out and please wait
a while after flashing for the ap to appear
