EZDIY-FAB ARGB PC Fans - how to wire up

Hey, my name is Matthew and I have 8 of these ARGB PC Fans https://smile.amazon.de/dp/B07PDRV2VB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_CBRMF7FEQ3F673CQ3G8D. And I don’t understand how to wire them up. I’ve flashed WLED on an NODEMCU and want to know how to control my fan lightning with it. I’ve setup quite a few WLED controllers with NODEMCU and apa102 or ws8212. Which work flawlessly.

But this fans are a miracle to me. Do I need the controller hub which is included in the fan package or do i plug in the fan directly in to the NODEMCU.

I’ve tried both and non of them work.
Maybe it’s an voltage issue because I’ve plugged in the 5v for the fans RGB into the vin pin on the NODEMCU.
Which by the way works perfectly for my led stripes.

I hope u can give me a hint.

Thanks a lot.

I would guess that ARGB is analog, so you also need driver transistors.

Nope, ARGB stands for addressable RGB. And the headers on a mainboard are 3Pin 5V/D/G which meant they are digital…so what’s next?

Do you know what protocol or chip they use? The wiki lists the supported ones.

Yes, yesterday I contacted the EZDIY-FAB support which tell that the build in LEDs are ws2812. So they should light up with my nodemcu.

Hey man did you find a way to wire this things up i want to make the same shit and getting more control on my lights without this Hub…
