Flickering issue. Seeking advice

Hi,

I am having trouble with some flickering and was really hoping for someone smarter than me to point me in the right direction, if they could. I would love to hear any suggestions.

Been using WLED for years and wanted to make something “special”. So I put together this tree (pic below) with 2,106 pixels split into 4 strips. Level shifter in place, total of 160A @5v available for the lights with injection every 52 pixels. Main busses at the top handle the power distribution. I checked the power under full load and it never drops below 5V at the busses or at the controller. Someone suggested a resistor (330 ohm) on each data line in series. Would that help?

I put a lot of time into this project and I would love to see it actually working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just dont tell me I shouldn’t have pushed it this far… Before I started I did find a project of someone’s who ran almost 2500 leds on one controller so I felt it might be possible. But who knows what software he was running he never said if it was WLED or anything else.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Brad

correct levelshifter? and yes, resistors can help but 300R is probably too high

160A is waaay overkill for that. Provided you have the right levelshifter and are not using WLED version 15.1, I would try something like 33Ω 62Ω or 249Ω
