How about the ability to boot initially into STA mode and if that SSID isn’t found, after a period of time, it then switches to AP mode and Advertises that SSID like the following project.

Doesn’t it do that already, or am I missing something?
It’s probably me. I saw the ability to configure as a station or an AP but I didn’t see any failover options listed so I apparently incorrectly assumed it was either one or the other. I see it listed in features now-Access Point and station mode - automatic failsafe AP. I’m also trying to get this to run on ESP32-Pico and there are wifi issues so thet’s probably where the problem is, I’ll try in on 8266.
