1st outdoor project

Outdoor project started a while ago. Still waiting to see if it will hold up before finishing. Little concerned about prolonged rain. If you can’t make it out its a Y shaped design created when trenches for gas and electrical lines were dug for garage conversion https://youtube.com/shorts/6kTNlJDaNZI

You put LED strips on the ground as a permeant install :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I would not expect them to last too long. They are kinda fragile for that. Not worried about kicking them or hitting them with a lawn mower or weed trimmer or something?

No not permanent. Still in the proving stage. Been in place all summer. Low foot traffic. So far so good

I’ve had a 12v LED pebble string that’s been outside for a couple of months now. There’s been plenty of rain and it still works so far. All I did was cover the last exposed contacts with hot glue to seal them from the weather.

Thanks, that works for the strand to strand connections. I am looking for something removable for the controllers and ps

Connectors? I would go with xConnect or any of the other waterproof LED connectors on Amazon, but if you go with xConnect you will always know what type to buy for compatibility.

As for seed pixels. I do think they are a better choice to lay on the ground than strips. Ray Wu on Aliexpress has 20AWG rolls of 1k 5cm spacing for $80 https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806272779153.html

thank you for the suggestion, if the lights I have fail maybe I’ll give them a try
