Is there any hardware out there that can handle driving around 1900 LEDs or is that beyond what WLED can handle?
ESP32 can.
ESP32 can I have over 2200 one one. You just have to break them
Into segments one segment at a time. I broke mine into 600 each segment and have had no issues with them. But you have to do ie: 0-600, 601-1200, 1201-1800, 1801- 2400. If you try to load them all at once they aren’t happy.
If they are separated into different segments can you still have one continuous pattern or image across all segments making it look like a continuous 2D matrix?
physical and virtual layout are independent, so yes.
