Hello,
I need some help figuring out where on the ESP32 Wemos Mini that you power it with external power other than the programming connector.
The board has a VCC connection and I am using it and ground with a 5v wall adapter and it is not working. Can the ESP32 Wemos Mini be ran from a 5v source?

VCC and Ground should work, however I have seen a few Esp’s that did not seem to work when I tried to power them from VCC and would only work from the usb. You could also try using the 3.3v pin and a buck converter from 5v to 3.3v
Depending on the board, there may be a blocking diode on the Vcc line to prevent the backfill of Vcc to the USB connector.
I tried the 3.3v with my variable power supply and works fine. I will get a 5v to 3.3v regulator board.
Does anybody know where there is a schematic for the Wemos ESP 32 Mini? I searched and couldn’t locate one.
Check with where you bought it. If they can’t supply it, find another source.
