i would like to make firmware for ESP8266EX, which is 160 mhz and has 16 mb rom. I would use the nightly build. I would like to know which microcontroller would be best to use and which tags should I change in step 1a.

normal bin file does not run?
It works, but it reduces flash memory. And sometimes frequnecy.
make your own env, use larger partitions.
I would do this using WLED Online compiler
so I’m asking which microcontroller I can use to build it.
or which ones I need to define anew in step 1a
just use ESP8266, change to larger partitions.
