Usually, the app is for phones or tablets.
On a full blown computer (and some tablets) a regular web browser will give you much better control.
You just need to find the IP address of the device once it connects to your WiFi network.
The ip address will be displayed in the app, so if you have the app already you can just look for the ip address there and type that in to the address bar on your computer and the WLED interface should pop up!
