Utterly unreachable

Hi. I was using WLED on my old wifi network. I moved house and now have a new router. I managed to connect to my WLED device in order to update the wifi settings but since then I have been 100% unable to reach it. I’ve tried 4.3.2.1, accessing it via its IP, I’ve tried using the WLED app… This is doing my head in! When I try and ping it on the command line it just times out and that’s about the limit of my coding etc knowledge.
I don’t really know a great about computer-related stuff so I’m totally stumped as to how to fix this.
I have a wemos mini d1 (I think) connected to a 1m string of 144 lights. I’ve got 2.4Ghz network enabled on my new router but it’s a mesh network so there’s no channels to configure.
Please can anyone help? I’d really love to be able to use my lights again, I really miss them :frowning:

I would turn your router off and then plug in your controller. When it can’t find your network it should broadcast it’s internal access point. WLED-AP

Search for it in your available wifi networks list. Connect to it and reconfigure your wifi details. Turn your router back on and wait for it to boot up. Repower your controller and it should connect to your wifi.

**If you entered a static IP in the WLED Wifi settings I would remove it, till you at least get it connected through your routers DHCP. If you want a static IP it would be best to reserve that in the router’s config and not in the WLED settings. If you set a static IP in WLED and if your router gives that to another device you will have issues.

Hi. I did everything you suggested, removed the IP address but now it’s worse and I can’t connect to it at all. When I was first able to connect to it while on its wifi network I now can’t even do that, and I can’t see it if I try and plug it in to my laptop either. It’s definitely working OK as I managed to turn it on and off while connected and prior to removing the IP address. I would re-flash it but I don’t know how to do that (or if I even can if my computer isn’t see it when it’s connected?)

At this point I would try reflashing it. It is very simple. Who flashed it the first time?

Do you have a link to the exact board you have or a close up picture of the top of it?

If this is the same PC you flashed it with before, likely all you need to do is connect a micro usb cable to the d1 mini and connect it to your pc and then head to http://install.wled.me and reflash it with the new firmware. *If that does not work please provide either a pic of the top of the d1 mini or a link to the exact one you bought. There are a couple different usb drivers depending on the chip they used on the board.

Thanks so much for all your help. I managed to get it connected to my computer and re-flashed it, and I can see it ok now but have now run into another problem in that only 30 of the lights are turning on. They were definitely all ok before.
The segment0 is set to run between 0 and 30 and every time I try and change it to a higher number it just resets itself back to 30, and if I try and add extra segments to cover the following lights it just doesn’t seem to work.

Do you have more than 30 set in LED Preferences?

I didn’t know to check in there but I did and it was somehow only set to 30, so thank you, you’ve helped me solve all of my problems and now my strip is working good as new! :tada:
