Maker of Tetrix

Hi you!

Can YOU help me? I am looking for the maker of Tetrix effect. I would like to get in contact with him. This is the reason:
I want to make a alarm clock for my kids. 15 minutes (or the time you want) before the kids are allowed to go out of bed, I want a “countdown”. Every 20 seconds (for example) one “Tetrix block” is falling down until all leds are on. When all the leds of the strip are on, i want to make it green. Like a traffic light, red is waiting and green is GO!!
The Tetrix effect is a perfect base to do so. But I am not familiar with the how-to.

If someone can point me in the right direction, I am very pleased!!! Thank you in advance.

That would be me.

Do not use random “brick” length/size (effect intensity=0) or falling speed (effect speed=0).
I am not sure you can achieve 20s falling time with the current implementation but you can experiment with code in FX.cpp to your liking.

For the effect you want to achieve, create a playlist with Tetrix and Solid.

Thank you for your fast replay. I’m really new to this, but I’m going to give it a try! If I need help, can I ask you for advice?
Thank you again!

@blazoncek is there anyway to do this with tetrix? link to video

Looks like you could do that with short and mirrored segments.

Except for color changes, do as @tonyno suggested.

thanks

I have modified Tetrix to incorporate the color changing as seen in the video (using palette).
Will be available shortly.

OMG thank you i love that effect and trying to recreate in wled for while with no success. I have made segments for each sections of my house.

If you find it useful I do accept donations via Paypal.

Will be available in source later today.
