Segment programing extended?

Sorry newb so if this is already possible my bad.
Looking to make segments that would be able to utilize LEDs out of order. Like LEDs 2,3,4,5,12,13,14,15 as a segment and 6,7,8,9,10,11,22,23,24 as segment and so on. Or any combination of LEDs into a segment.

There is code for a custom LED layout. Can’t recall where, though.
