Hello all,
I am a rookie WLED enthusiast, but I do have some knowledge on electicity.
This is my planned setup:
- Three 1.6m long Sk6812 (60 LEDs/meter) strips (in other words, 3 strips of 96 LEDs)
- 5 volts, 30 amps power supply
- ESP32 controller
I’m still a bit confused as to how much power each LED draws. Website says “R + G + B = mixed white 0.3W/LED. Pure white 0.1W/LED”. Does that mean each LED draws a total of 0.4W?
The plan is to hook all three strips in parallel to the power supply. I thought it’d be best like this than hooking all strips in series; as that’d could cause voltage drop issues, making the strips unevenly lit.
What do you think is the maximum current I can put through each strip without having my equipment malfunction?
Thanks in advance
