Update from 0.14.4 to 0.15.1 fails

I tried to update from the HA update button and manually using the WLED interface.

error ion WLED interface is “Failed updating firmware! Please check your file and retry!”

I have 2 other WLED devices and they updated as expected but they were already on 0.15.0.

I think I tried the update before as well but I could then either. which is why it’s still on 0.14.4.

Firmware file installed is “ESP32-D0WDQ6 build 2405180” and I’m trying to install “WLED_0.15.1_ESP32.bin”.

I have no idea how to troubleshoot this or where to find logs if there are any.

any hints would be appreciated.

Use serial if OTA fails.

is that the only option? I’m trying to avoid having to dig the controller out of the place that it’s in. not impossible but definitely inconvenient.

There are just 2 ways to update firmware.
