I have by mistake changed the mDNS address.
How do I restore it to it’s default setting?
Kind regards,
Tomas
If you’ve backed up the configuration, you can restore it, which will restore the mDNS name as well as all other config settings. If you’re looking for where to reset it from, it’s under the WiFi settings.
You might not need to change it though, unless you have multiple objects using the name. If that’s the case, change it back under WiFi settings.
Thank you for answering.
I had to plug the ESP8266 to my PC because i couldn’t connect at all.
When I go in to install.wled.me I can connect and run INSTALL WLED. After about a minute it’s done. Normally when it’s done the choice “Visit device” comes up but now I’m just back at “INSTALL WLED” and "LOGS & CONSOLE. “VISIT DEVICE” never comes up.
Any tip?
Huh. I had that too a few times, but with 2 different ESP32s. If I repeated, sometimes it would allow me to configure WiFi, and visit the device, but when it was power cycled, it would not boot into WLED. If I then connected it to a PC and tried to flash it from install.wled.me it seems to work, but then only shows “INSTALL WLED” and "LOGS & CONSOLE. I never did get them working. I had a few different ones to work with.
One question: are you restoring a backup file from a different device?
