Is it possible to use the “scrolling text” effect and leave only the digital clock?
And so that the hours and minutes are located vertically (or this could be changed), I use a 16x16 matrix.
For an example of what I mean:

Make two segments in your matrix , select scrolling text effect and in one segment change the name to “#HH” and the other to " #MM"

When I change segment names. “#HH” and “#MM” are scrolled and overlapped. That is, hours and minutes do not apply.
But #TIME work correctly, but there is scrolling and unnecessary seconds.
Unfortunately the discord link does not open. Perhaps some other settings are needed?

Yes, thank you, I read all the messages, unfortunately it did not help. Perhaps the reason is the controller I use (NodeMCU V3). The date and time never appeared. I only see #HH and #MM on the matrix (but not the real date and time)
What version you are testing with and i will try to replicate on esp8266

Updating from firmware 0.14.0 → 0.14.1 helped, thanks again
