DMX - Wired Input?

Hi,

I’m working on something that is primarily a wired DMX fixture.

The Question
Is it currently possible to use WLED to receive DMX from a wired connection with a MAX485 receiver and an ESP32?

Bonus Info (Some Context)
It’s four strips of 90 WS2812B LED’s. Currently i’m using an Arduino Nano to receive DMX. I’m using 90 channels, so 30 RGB ‘pixels’, this is then mapped and output to the LED array. This all works great, I don’t think the nano can manage all 512 channels but 360 works, I’ve only tested up to 360.

BUT I’ve been using WLED to ‘test’ the array and power supply setup, to minimise cables and effort. Now I’m thinking maybe the fixtures could have a WLED mode… Ideally the Arduino Nano can be replaced with the ESP32 the fixtures can be controlled via the app over wifi, then run in ‘Wired DMX Mode’ when they need to be controlled by ableton/soundswitch or some DMX controller.

If this doesn’t already exist looks like I have some work to do… Signal intergrity for live shows is a worry…

Thanks in advance,

Adam
