Hi

I have one of these.

I want to use it to introduce new users to WLED in a few hours.

Ideally I would like to extend it with a potentiometer and a PIR module (not at the same time).

The IO33 port on the side works fine for a pushbutton.

The GPIO2 PINS are only documented as useful for a second LED strip, not for other modules.

If this is possible, can anyone give me a high level overview?

If I were to guess I would say no. Reason the LED output ports normally run through a levelshifter and there for will not allow you to feed signals to the Esp.

Thanks. Makes sense. I am now trying 5V from the GPIO2 set, plus IO33 and GND from the ports on the side. Getting strange results, but no more than I usually get from PIR sensors.
