What are you installing it onto?
on ESP32-ETH01 V1.4
I have some boards that need a few (2-4) clicks on the flash button at the beginning of the install process to get it to the right boot mode. can be tricky to get the timing right. maybe that works for your case as well.
I don’t have a flash button on this ESP. Can I do this using a pin?
yes, pull the boot/flash pin low i.e. to GND, google on which one that is for your board (I think its GPIO0 for ESP32 but please confirm)
I tried this, but it didn’t do anything.
You have your board connected to the USB module like this? If not you need to.
Also after you get it flashed and you go into set up your config; *Make sure you remove the default gpio 16 from LED Output #1 before turning on Ethernet. If you leave it there and then enable Eth you will lock up the Esp and need to reflash it.
