Dual controllers on one Android phone?

Hi, new user that’s about to do quite a search but google had nothing for me…

I have one strip of SK6812 they are awesome and I love them. They are RGBW with a dedicated white chip in one corner.

I ordered through a GLC-008WL controller that works well but it means I have no internet while I use the strip as my phone can only have one wifi connection at a time…

I’ve tried searching for a similar but Bluetooth (NOT Bluetooth) with no luck at all.

I want to run 3 of these controllers with wled effectively with all in sync…
I tried a different Bluetooth / wifi controller and it’s rubbish… looks like WLED is the go, I love the patterns ect and once you work it out it’s so versatile…
But if I’m controlling from my Android phone… can I connect to three controllers at once? I did the research and apparently you can set your phone up as a hotspot and get them to connect to that?

When booting into the app it comes up with what looks like room for a list of controllers that can all be turned on… at once… this is what I want real bad…

I’m a lighting tech of 30 years, but only with DMX… I want these strips because they are so effective and I love the inclusion of some great patterns..

Please be gentle… I am going for a search now too.

As far as I know, the DOM-WLE-AM controller works (for synchronization). Version 014.4 supports synchronization, but the upgraded version 015.0 no longer does—this has been tested.

I see two options:

  • get a small wifi router
  • use ESPNow sync (they must be on the same wifi channel for this to work)

edit: FYI, 0.15 as well as 0.16 both still support sync. in 0.16 ESPNow sync is currently broken but will be fixed soon.
