Help Needed - Best way to configure segments/presets for turning off certain lights

Hello all,

Hoping someone with more experience than I can help out! I’m struggling to wrap my head around the best way to create segments and presets to achieve my desired outcome. I have Permatrack around the perimeter of my house and use HomeKit (via homebridge-wled-ws) to turn on at sunset and off at 1:00am via automation. “The boss” has requested that around the kids’ bedtime the lights around their bedrooms be turned off.

For example, if I had the following config, how could I keep the “main lights” on until 1:00am and turn off the bedroom segments at 10:00pm, and then the next day have all the lights turn on at sunset?

  • All Lights - 0-1,500

  • Bedroom 1 - 650-725

  • Bedroom 2 - 1,040-1,115

Anyone’s expertise in this area that may be able to help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Neil

you can use json api commands as presets.

Thanks for the reply/suggestion! Do you have any examples that do a similar thing that I can review?

Thanks,

Neil

there are examples here.

what you probably are looking for is {“seg”:[{“id”:1,“on”:false}]} this turns segment 1 off.
