How to correctly add audio line in / Audio Amplifier Board

Hi guys ,

I have added a line-in and it works for music reaction …etc . without a mic .However once I connect line-in I hear minor static on my headphone which means I am doing something wrong

I want to add audio line-in as per the wiki but do not want to add too many resistors and capacitors .
Does adding PAM8403 solve the issue ? PAM8406 is not available locally but does it also work ?
Appreciate if you can help with wiring for the same

Hi, I did like yours and tried my own , i did not do a lot of soldering and it worked great . I want to make a circuit diagram like yours , which app did you use ? I would appreciate if anyone could point mistakes or improvements but plz be gentle because this is my first time [IMG_0073] [IMG_0074] [IMG_0361] [IMG_0363] cheers and thanks for the inspiration

[Edit: I found the static issue is due to bad audio cable . Also I think the above boards are not what I am looking for as they are meant to amplify the sound to speakers , any recommendation or help is still appreciated ]
