If I pick a preset that runs an effect from the web gui the remote stops working.
Pick a preset in the web gui that sets a solid color and the remote still works.
So same behavior whether selecting presets from the GUI or from the remote.
I’ve heard reports that flashing patterns of some lights causes IR interference. Could you try moving the IR receiver so the lights are not shining on them?
Will wire up a breadboard tonight and try that.
My current setup has the led strip in a diffuser channel, with a small cut in the diffuser for the IR receiver poking out. Can’t move it on the current setup, but that could be it.
Well my other esp appears to be dead, so no bread board. That said, I don’t think it’s flashing lights. I set the “percent” effect, adjusted the effect so only a few pixels on the opposite end of the strip were on and they were not flashing or changing color. The remote still did not work when the effect was on, started working again as soon as I set it back to “Solid”.
IR sensor is on the far right of the diffuser.
