Is thier a way to force access point to launch without doing a factory reset?

I want to have WIFI off but then have a physical button turn it back on. Is this possible?

If you have buttons, button 0 is programmed to launch the access point when held down for like 5 - 10 seconds.

Can I make that a different button? Where is that code located?

Is this different then factory reset?

if you hold button 0 for >12s then it will factory rest the device

Is thier code just to turn AP back on? leave the restr of the flash alone?
