Does anybody has a solution for this or it is a bug and I need to find another way?
What WLED version are you using?
V 0.12.0 “Hikari”
0.12 has a known bug with segments and ledmap.
Use 0.13 beta.

Be aware that current beta build may exhibit (in some rare cases) random flashes. This is known and already fixed.
