I use esp8266, where I installed version 14 of wled. It works great. With a phone running Android 11, everything works well. But when I log in from a tablet with Android 7 installed, when I turn it on, the message “load wled ui…” is written. That’s all. I can go into the settings. The main menu with the wheel, colors, effects, etc. is inactive. It is gray and does not allow you to control the tape. The browser, when you enter the esp address, everything works well. Doesn’t work only from the app. How can I fix this, please help, please
Sorry, English only please.
Ok. I’ll try to translate
Once you have the IP address of the ESP8266, try logging in from a browser (Firefox, Chrome,etc.).
WLED typically works well with any of the common browsers.
Try using the WLED-Natvie app.
There are no problems with the IP address. Works well in the browser. But why doesn’t the application work? What’s missing? I tried installing wled native. The same as with a regular application. The main screen does not load.
I don’t understand what’s happening with app. Why app working wrong?
Maybe android 7 is too old for the app? If I remember I will try testing with an older tablet later. I’m not sure what v android it has.
Thanks. I’ll be waiting for you answer
Tried on a Samsung tablet with android 5.1 and the regular WLED app installed and works. It would not let me install WLED-Native. It says the tablet was not compatible with it.
Tried on a Samsung phone with android 9 and both app’s work.
And of course both work on my Samsung s24 Ultra with android 14
Do you have some antivirus program or something blocking them maybe?
very strange. Antivirus is not worth it. The tablet is completely clean. Do you have any ideas what could be wrong? I can’t even figure out where the problem lies. Maybe I need to install any app too?
No ideas, sorry. Sounds dumb, but did you try rebooting the tablet? Sometimes a power cycle can fix things
Yes. Reboot several times. ESP, tablet. All. Nothing helps.
