Need help please!

im wiring some lights at my home using a QuinLED Dig-Octa system with a powerboard 7.
Here is what my run consist of with multiple props and extensions:

control box → 10ft extension → 40 pixel prop → 2ft extension-> 40 pixel prop → 2ft extension-> 40 pixel prop → 10ft extension → 120 pixel prop → 20ft extension-> 96 pixel prop

336 total pixels on a single output channel.

only the first 3 (40 pixel) props lights come on and 3 bulbs of the 3rd (120 pixel) prop comes on, and the rest are out.

I’ve tried adding data boosters (F-Amps) to different and multiple locations with no success. I’ve also tried adding power injection with no success. Don’t really think I need power injection because with the limited lights that are on, im still getting 10v at the very last prop. and correct me if im wrong, the lights should still work at that voltage while using 16 gauge wiring.

I’ve also tested each prop directly from another spare control box that I have lying around to eliminate any bad bulb or wiring issues. And all props work perfectly. Just for some reason it doesn’t work when its all connected the way I need it to be.

im still learning the wled app but I believe I have everything set correctly. ive had some lights up for 2 years now including a mega tree so im not totally new to this but, these lights are new additions. ive set the led preferences and the segments to the additional leds added to the system. but still no success.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I’ve been at this for a week now and is about to give up.

Does the 120 pixel prop work if you connect only it?

Are you 100% sure you have your LED Pref’ and segments set correctly? Got a screen shot of them?

You say you have 16ga wire? I don’t know of any pixels that come with 16ga wire. I would add 1 injection.

Also when you get to that 20ft jump you may or may not have them working correctly. You are at about the limit of good data from prop to prop at 20ft w/out a booster/null pixel. I mean they should turn on but may be glitchy.

If that 120 pixel prop works on it’s own, I would very much think it is likely a config issue.

Yes the 120 prop does work on its own, I used a spare control box to test it. I also still had that 4th prop (96 pixel) still connected to the 120 prop while testing. And still only 4 bulbs were on on the 96 pixel prop. hope that makes sense. I even added an F-amp to that run and still no success.

and sorry for the confusion but the 16ga wire is my connecting wire between each prop.

ill email the settings because this site is not allowing me to send more than 1

The roof line segments has no problems. They run perfectly fine, they were existing lights. Just wanted to show my settings

1st Windows Segment is the one i stated with problems. but im also having the same type of problem with 2nd Windows Segment.

The settings look right. But you have your Brightness Limiter set to 5A and are trying to power 1200+ LEDs ?

How big of a power supply do you have? I think you need to increase your limiter. If that does not get them working, then I would try deleting all of your segments and see if everything lights with all 1217 LEDs on segment 0. If they do, then recreate the segments and see how it goes.

my power supply is a 12v 50A 600watt.

ok ill try what u suggested :crossed_fingers:t4::folded_hands:t4:

I greatly appreciate your help!

just to give you an idea of what my house looks like and to show you where my lights are located. So the props that im referring to is my window frames. You see how the first 3 windows on the 1st floor is lit but the lights around my garage door has only 3 bulbs lit, and then the window on the far right is not lit at all. im also having the same issue on the second floor. As you can see the first window on the left is on, the second window has 3 bulbs on and the rest of the windows are off.

Did you try deleting the segments and having them all on segment 0 and did they all light?

Weird you have more than 1 spot with the same issue. 100% sure you have the right # of LEDs?

Does it change if you increase the total # for whatever output/segment those are?

Yes i tried deleting all segments. that didnt work.

Yes i made sure I had the correct number of pixel count. counted it multiple times. I even tried to add more lights in the app to see if that would make a difference, but it didnt change anything. I did it in the preference setting and the segments setting. both didnt work.

I found out what was wrong with my issue. I was using a bundled 16 gauge 3 conductor electrical wire. it’s great for power and ground because i didnt have to power injection, but for the data wiring, it was too long of a run even with using F-amps. I ran a single 18 gauge wireand it works perfectly. Just wanted to inform new people like myself for future plans. Tha k you again for everyone that reached out. I appreciated your inputs.
