Power plug is getting really hot

Hey guys,

I have a 5 meter led strip SK6812 NW connected to a 5v 5A power supply on both ends to the led strip. There is also a fuse on both connections.

When i set the brightness to 100% the power plug is getting really hot and i think it will melt if i don’t lower the brightness.

Do you know what can cause this?

Yes, those connectors are generally only rated for 3A, if that. Cut connector off and connect the wires directly.
