Random white flashing

I’m running 2 led strips strung together for a total of 288 LEDs, and while the LEDs are on, no matter the color, or effect, anywhere between 5-25 individual LEDs will change from whatever color they are, to bright white, then back to their original color; the flash takes about a second in total. When they flash I’ve noticed that the LEDs are all next to each other, not sure why. I’ve also seen this flashing on both strips. The flashing might happen 4x an hour.

The color doesn’t seem to matter, neither does the brightness, nor effect. I can have the color set to red, and the brightness set to 1% and it will still randomly flash.

LED chipset: SK6812/WS2814 RGBW
Controller: MagWLED-1
Power: Anker Nano II 65W
Version: 0.15.0
Build: 2412100

Not sure where to start or how to troubleshoot- besides this random flashing the LEDs perform flawlessly, and are used daily.

I would recommend to contact controller manufacturer and ask, since it might be controller related.

Just sent them an email, we’ll see what they say. Thanks for the tip.

Most likely this issue; talked to the MagWLED-1 dev and he pointed me here.

For now, I’ll disable polling in HA, hopefully this is fixed in a recent release of WLED.
