So i purchased a couple of those acrylic diffused car interior dream color extension pieces on amazon. There the ones you see that come in a whole like 16 piece car interior kit thing that says fiber optic dream color bla bla with all kinds of control modules and different size strips. Anyways i wanted to just control a couple 24" extension pieces with a esp32 and wled thinking it would be a simple cut there connector off and wire in a 12v cig plug pos and neg and wire the data channel to the esp32 gpio pin and run a ground from the cig plug and strip to the esp. I ended up opening up the acrylic diffuser to get to the leds inside and discovered a strip i can not find any info anywhere on so wanted to ask the community here if they knew exactly what pad is what on this crazy 12v 3mm ultra narrow individ addressable led strip that has 1 pad on top of the pcb and 2 pads on the under side of the pcb so instead of having your 3 across vcc, data, gnd solder pads this is 1 pad middle top of pcb while the other 2 are on bottom, Now normally i would assume the one on top is the data lead and the 2 on bottom would be the pos and neg but i cant get this strip to react to wled. Also when connecting the strip to power it goes crazy flashing and color changing without it being connected to the esp32. Can anybody shed any light on this? am i right to assume the data pad is the top whilwe thje vcc and gnd are underneath?
Maybe this applies to yours. I have some like this:
Wire Color/Function
Red/5V input (!)
Green/Data
Blue/0V
