Speed Up Chase Effect

I’m trying to recreate a Disney MagicBand reader using WLED and I’m having trouble creating the swirling lights effect.

The chase effect comes the closest, but even at max speed I can’t get it to go fast enough. Is there a way to speed up an effect even faster than what the sliders allow?

For reference, here is what the effect should look like.

you could use grouping to speed it up or edit the code.

I’ve never done grouping. How does that work?

In the segment settings, set grouping to 2 instead of 1. it will treat 2 LEDs as one, doubling the speed but at the cost of reduced detail.
