Wled boot sequence using playlist stutter

i am trying to get a cool boot sequence on my led strip, i am trying to use the wipe preset for a few seconds so that it fills up and then switch to a solid color and after that switch to another effect of choice, but when rebooting the wipe has a stutter in it and i was wondering if i could remove the stutter from the boot so that the animation looks smooth.

Add a black solid preset to the first item of your playlist and set it for however long you need to cover the time of when the other would be laggy. That Lag is likely when the wifi is initializing/connecting.

but when i add a preset before the wipe preset in the playlist, the wipe never plays it is just dark then it goes to the solid preset and then to the other effect, i think it has to do with the color palette still being just black? the wled thing does not really seem to do what i want is there another way to control the leds that might be more consistent, i have heard of moonmodules but i am very new to wled so i dont know what to install.

Then your wipe preset is not created correctly. Re-create the Wipe preset and make sure when you save it you have the boxes checked for use current state and include brightness. It works for me.
