WLED loses connection to lights every few minutes

Hi all,

New install - have 5m x WS2813 connected to an ESP32 with 200W/40A Power. Sitting about 6ft away from the wifi mesh node (Netgear Orbi).

All working fine, except when I’m cycling through presets, every few minutes all LEDs will turn red and the app will say ‘connection to lights lost’ and it’ll be a few seconds before I can then reselect the preset and it’ll work again.

I can’t say for sure, but it ‘seems’ to happen more quickly with more complex light effects (ie loads of different colours).

Can anyone give me any steers here on best way to debug?

Do the lights go to the same color as power on? If so sounds like you could have a power issue. Possibly a loose connection causing a reboot.

Yes, in most cases (ie all red is power on state) - sometimes it seems to set to alternating red, green, blue, red, green, blue etc.

Ok will double check the connections!
