Are you running on a PC, Mac, Tablet, phone?
What version of OS, what version of Chrome?

I normally use the Edge browser. I just installed WLED on an ESP8266-01 using the Opera Browser. And again using Google Chrome, Version 116.0.5845.141 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Windows 10, 64 bit.

I got the same error as the OP using FireFox.
