Wrong ntp time

why as soon as a new firmware is loaded the time is immediately correct but once turned off and on again it can no longer update and shows 1970?
I changed version of wled and ntp server, but it seems to do it all the time.
Does the fact that I haven’t set up the wifi connection affect it?
What can I check?

If you have no WiFi connection, you have no internet and therefore your NTP settings don’t do anything (you can’t get time from an NTP server without a network connection).

There are some RTC usermods that will let you hook up an external timeclock to retain time settings through a power cycle.

ok, thanks, I figured it was for that, I just don’t understand why as soon as the binary is loaded the date and time are correct…

It took the time and date from the host computer. The drift happens quickly as there is no RTC.
