2 lights come on by themselves after being powered off

I’m using a ESP8266 ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B081CSJV2V?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title )

And WS2812B RGB LED’s

After I set up 4-5 presets with Alexa, I have 2 problems that may or may not be related.

Super novice here BTW.

So after I have the lights on from however I turn them on, WLED app or Alexa, Alexa won’t turn them off. Just stays on or swaps preset colors.

2nd issue is after I do power them off with the app, a couple individual lights will turn on by themselves. It takes an hour or so.

I don’t use Alexa so no clue. But maybe the wifi on the controller is going to sleep. You could try turning off wifi sleep in the wifi settings.

Noise on the data line. Try checking the box for Off Refresh in LED Preferences. That will keep sending the off data every so often.

I checked the off refresh option. I’ll see how that works. Thanks for the help

Seems to have fixed the first issue. I’ll have to work on the Alexa fix next
