Hi everyone,
I’m using WLED (on a GLEDOPTO GL-C-010WL controller) to drive a BlitzWill Smart Outdoor Eaves Light strip (14.5m, Tuya-based, link: https://www.banggood.com/p-2025948.html).
It is a 24V RGB addressable strip, with ~30–60 LED modules (1 LED + driver IC per module), originally driven by a Tuya WB3S-based controller. I replaced it with the WLED-based GLEDOPTO unit.
Problem:
Colors are not correct:
- When I select pure red in WLED (Solid effect), the LEDs appear pinkish instead of deep red.
- With the original Tuya controller, red appeared clean and saturated.
Current WLED config:
- LED type: WS2811
- Color order: GRB (tried RGB, BRG, BGR, etc.)
- Voltage: 24V (external power supply)
- GND is shared
- Data: GPIO2 (default on GL-C-010WL)
Questions:
- Does anyone have confirmation of the actual LED driver IC in this strip? (Possibly SM16703 or UCS2903?)
- Are there timing or signal differences that could explain color inaccuracies, even if WS2811 protocol is “mostly compatible”?
- Any experience calibrating colors for this exact strip type in WLED?
Thanks a lot in advance!
