BLITZWILL Smart Outdoor Eaves Light

Hi everyone,

I’m using WLED (on a GLEDOPTO GL-C-010WL controller) to drive a BlitzWill Smart Outdoor Eaves Light strip (14.5m, Tuya-based, link: https://www.banggood.com/p-2025948.html).

It is a 24V RGB addressable strip, with ~30–60 LED modules (1 LED + driver IC per module), originally driven by a Tuya WB3S-based controller. I replaced it with the WLED-based GLEDOPTO unit.

Problem:

Colors are not correct:

  • When I select pure red in WLED (Solid effect), the LEDs appear pinkish instead of deep red.
  • With the original Tuya controller, red appeared clean and saturated.

Current WLED config:

  • LED type: WS2811
  • Color order: GRB (tried RGB, BRG, BGR, etc.)
  • Voltage: 24V (external power supply)
  • GND is shared
  • Data: GPIO2 (default on GL-C-010WL)

Questions:

  1. Does anyone have confirmation of the actual LED driver IC in this strip? (Possibly SM16703 or UCS2903?)
  2. Are there timing or signal differences that could explain color inaccuracies, even if WS2811 protocol is “mostly compatible”?
  3. Any experience calibrating colors for this exact strip type in WLED?

Thanks a lot in advance!
