The WLED flashed but isn’t working. Try a different board
Already successfully flashed another module esp-12 and everything is working perfectly. Thank you very much for your help)
I use the ESP32 and have not seen that.
Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but i’m seeing this same issue on my ESP8266. @sig did you ever find a solution or did you just end up using a new board?
@sig @bubbers214 did you find a solution ? I have the same issue
I am having the same problem - I am in canada I am on Rogers Ignite - it ititially connected when i entered my wifi information it would not show an ip or connect- i reflashed board manytimes and now it will not even prompt for wifi any more…
Hello there, I’m experiencing same issue as well.
I have some other esp32 without any issue.
I can see it in my router, I go to the webpage but it shows as offline.
Furthermore, the led is working as expected, I just cannot connect it.
The webpage is accessible randomly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, without any obvious reason.
This doesn’t directly address the problem, but I use a network scanning app (legit, from the app store) on my smartphone to find out whether the device is connected and where. My Esp8266 modules are fussy about connecting, and I think it is because I’ve underpowered them (not reading the LDO datasheet carefully enough) and the comms takes relatively much more power.
@TokyoDave can I quote you?
Don’t hold back
I’m having great fun learning, and I don’t mind making inexpensive mistakes while doing so. I just revise and try again.
But while we are on the subject, the fine print… I once bought a batch of 3A 5V~xxV to 3.3V buck converters on Ali that were giving me all kinds of flicker on the LEDs. So I bought an electronic load tester and found out that with 5V input the converters could give a max of 0.5A if it was slowly applied after powerup, but only 0.25A otherwise. At least with the LDO, the data was there if you read all the caveats and conditions.
