Connection to lights failed

the project is at a stall yet because we downloading the latest software for the lights it connects to but doesn’t change the colours or any commands because on the laptop it states “connection to lights failed” so was wondering which software to download like and older one or what because the Electritian has been here third day trying to figure it out no luck once we can get past that he can connect and solder but doesn’t want to put the leds up because just in case it don’t work if you can let us know the solution to this please will appreciate it. I got a router extender in the room too so that shouldn’t be the issue and even on the phone it’s connected but doesn’t change lights with commands.

If you are getting connection failed, maybe you are too far from your wifi?
Are you sure it is connecting to the extender and not to your router?

You also may have a bad install. You could try reinstalling the firmware.

If you are not getting the connection failed error and the lights are still not changing, I would see what GPIO pin you have set in LED Preferences.

I would also disable wifi sleep from the wifi setup.

I done this disable sleep and the WiFi is fine so which firmware shall I download

My as well give 15 b2 a go and if you have issues you can always fall back to b1 or 14.3
