I’ve found a couple issues with effects and will list them here as I find more instead of separate posts.

Police - White flash on last half of LEDs
Popcorn - Last quarter of LEDs never light
Rainbow Runner - White flash

How many LEDs did you use for your testing?
Did you use a board with a levelshifter? (the white flashes are often due to an insufficient data signal).

For Police I might have been able to see what you mean - at high intensities the red and blue parts seem to overlap.
For Popcorn it is using the entire segment for me (tested with a 30, 45 and 130 LED segment).
