Just curious if anyone has had the same problem. Esp8266 with latest WLED bin file loaded up. Works perfectly when the phone app discovers it. Do the exact same to an Esp32 and the app will not discover it. I have flashed using ESP home and also through VScode. I have seen something about the boot loader needing to be flashed. Is this my problem. As I can connect straight to the AP and it works as normal. I just can’t connect thru the app on my wifi network. Have also used multiple ESPs.
Found my problem. Didn’t realise the ESP32 WROOM 32U with external antenna connection actually needs the external antenna connected. It’s not just for boosting the signal. smh lol.
