I’m running the wled.me binary (installed via Chrome) v0.14.0-b3, and am trying to enable Adalight input to WLED. When I go to Config->Sync Interfaces there doesn’t appear to be an Adalight option that I can enable. Looking at the documentation - for example Serial - WLED Project - and 20 minutes on google hasn’t illuminated (PUN) the issue for me.
Does anyone know, or is this not a feature of v0.14.0-b3?
Hi. Thank you for your reply. I have Adalight input working now, however when I send a packet to the ESP32 with the Adalight protocol after around 10 seconds or so WLED reverts the colours to whatever was on the wheel to begin with i.e. if the wheel was set to RED, if I send white to the ESP32 it updates to white, then resets to red again ten seconds later.
I’ve looked at every preference page and googled and can’t seem to override this behaviour.
Did you find a solution to this? I’ve just hit the exact same issue.
I’ve written my own python script that is sending adalight packets over serial to an esp8266 (connected to a pi with gnd/rx/tx).
It works for a short while (10s seems about right, though sometimes it does randomly work longer) and then it seems to just reset back to the initial colours. I also notice that the last led seems to always be a white colour rather than the colour it should be, regardless of the number of LEDs bring used (I’m well within current requirements as have usbc powering the esp with 3a, and only running this on a handful of LEDs at this point)
Also having Adalight issues with WLED. I’ve tried all 3 of the adalight protocols that Hyperion supports and also the TPM2 protocol with the same results. I posted a new issue here:
