Just fade in an LED strip... and stop at full bright?

If you are just looking to ramp up from nothing to whatever brightness you have set you do not need a playlist. All you need is a solid color preset and add the “transition”:VALUE to the API command box as I showed above

If you are just looking for a longer ramp up from the off state to whatever on state just adjust the transition setting in LED Preferences.

By all means, you are welcome to make it better. After all, it is free and open source.

@pfurrie Wled is not made to make only 1stripe light up for background lighning
insted is is a powerfull offline show module FRE and opensource

USE a simple Arduino nano to get only this effect Power on with fade up and stop at solid full brightnes

the code is so simple even YOPU as a NOOB can do this !

Multiple way have been given then refine how you wish to use it

… I find depending what I stumble apon may be better than my intended idea

I go back to another post I answerd

I’m no expert and don’t have a anywhere near the knowledge these gurus do… But I know people may think all they need is a dumbell spanner thinking towards wled… And that’s a good start but as time goes on your realise you need a toolbox… But only in your approach to using it.

Another user wanted finger painting type interface to match a commercial controller that itself may have had that but have lacked the sheer flexibility of wled.

Horses for courses…

And I’ll say what I said before…

(skorrrrr) Luke… I am your fahzar…

Think I’ll put that on a T-shirt
