Lights glitch out when I add a second LED output

All, I need some advice. I’ve done all I can think of.
What I have
WT32-ETH01 hooked directly to home network, setup correctly
LED Output 1, 100 lights, GPIO2
LED Output 2, 100 lights, GPIO4

When I only have one LED output configured, the segment works perfectly. When I add an LED output, the first glitches badly but the second works fine. Lights flicker all different colors, patterns are garbled, etc. If I remove the second LED output (back to one) everything works. I’ve changed GPIOs, I’ve changed number of LEDs, I’ve added a level shifter. I’ve rbooted, reflashed the system. Tried to use just WIFI. Everything but buying a new controller.

I want to put 4 LED outputs on one controller so they all run the same pattern. But until I get two working, I can add any others.

Does anyone have any thoughts? What am I doing wrong. I’m EE and everything is connected correctly. I even soldered everything instead of connectors. REALLY TRYNG TO GET WORKING FOR CHRISTMAS AND THE KIDDOS…

Some first thoughts with out seeing some pictures of your wiring.

There is a loose ground wire. make sure all DC grounds are attached.

There is a cold solder joint some where in the set up. Try touching up the solder joints.

You may need a small resistor on the data lines to negate any electrical impedance . 33-75 ohms should work.

That’s all I have for tips at the moment.

One more thought. The type of level shifter could matter. See Other Hardware - WLED Project
