Hi everyone! Hoping someone could help me solve this problem. I’m currently running a series of pixel lights (450) from a NodeMCU and they’ve been working fine for over a month. Now, suddenly they’ve stopped functioning correctly. Only the first string of 50 light up fully, plus a few from the next strand, and even then only at partial brightness. At first, I thought it was the NodeMCU so I flashed another one and got the same result. Would appreciate any help fixing them!
Check your wiring right after where the problem starts. Could also be a bad LED.
At LED #51, what happens physically right there? Is there a bend or twist or turn, or is it just like the 50 before it and goes straight for a while in both directions?
If you manually jumper over from that first bad pixel’s data in to data out pads do the rest of the pixels become happy?
Does the strip have power injection at the beginning and end, or the middle, or some other combination with 2 power injection points? If not, consider at least temporarily adding a power injection line so both ends of the strip have + / - leads powered up from the power supply.
